Life Academy launches new Introductory Qualification in Life Planning

Life Academy today launches a new programme to introduce professionals to the subject of Life Planning.

Entitled “Introduction to Life Planning for Professionals”, this unique training programme provides an entry route into the field of study for people of differing professional backgrounds.

Life Academy currently offers a Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma and MSc in Mid-Life, Pre-Retirement and Life Planning. Given the changing nature of work, work exit and retirement generally, it appears timely to develop a lead into these courses, as well as supporting practitioners in related activities.

The distance learning course offers students a full understanding of what life planning is and how they can deliver life planning services to others. It is aimed at those people who have the opportunity to impact on the life planning of other individuals with whom they work, for example those who work within human resources, finance, education, advice/guidance or the health sector.

Tony Chiva, Head of Education and Training at Life Academy, commented: “Working lives are changing – people are living longer, so many are staying in work for more years than they originally planned. The importance of a better work-life balance is becoming more evident, and the desire for a successful career is stronger. A general awareness of the scope and impact of life planning would help to support these individuals.”
