Pensions Trust signs up for Learn About Money

The Pensions Trust, one of the leading multi-employer occupational pension schemes for the charitable, social, educational, voluntary and not-for-profit sectors, has today agreed to market Life Academy’s Learn About Money financial education programme to their members.

The programme will be available free of charge to all of their 108,000 members and will increase their awareness of financial matters in general and help them to appreciate company benefits such as pension schemes. It will also enable employees to be able to take decisions about pensions and long term savings in a rational environment.

Richard Stroud, CEO of The Pensions Trust, commented "I’m delighted to be able to offer this valuable programme to our members, and believe that it will help them to assume responsibility for their own financial future."

Stuart Royston, CEO of Life Academy, added "Learn About Money addresses the need for better financial education amongst adults, providing a bridge between basic money handling skills and the information provided by financial products and advisors. Research has shown that companies need to promote their pension and benefits schemes in a wider financial context and Learn About Money provides such a vehicle."

As well as purchasing a license for Learn About Money, The Pensions Trust have also become a member of Life Academy, highlighting their support for the educational charity.
