Anthony Hilton to deliver Life Academy Annual Lecture 2010

Life Academy is delighted that Anthony Hilton, Evening Standard Business and Financial Commentator, will be delivering Life Academy’s Annual Lecture on November 24th 2010.

The title of Anthony’s talk - ‘Too much of a good thing - how the city undermines the UK economy’ is highly topical.

Anthony will look at the suggestion that the costs of intermediation in the City have become excessive and these costs are broadly at the expense of the shareholder. Rewards properly due to equity are creamed off by intermediaries with the result that equity returns are too poor to sustain the system - witness the problems of pension funds. Ask not what happened to your pension fund - it has gone to pay that banker's bonus!
