Driving forward the pre-retirement agenda

As part of The Learning Revolution White Paper, Life Academy is working with the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills to improve the availability of pre-retirement activity nationally.

This will include: extending the availability of structured pre-retirement courses offered by colleges and other learning providers; developing free on-line pre-retirement resources and engaging with stakeholders and intermediaries to promote the availability of pre-retirement activity in the workplace.

We would like to call on organisations and community groups who can help make a difference and who can support our campaign: 'Be Prepared - Planning for a Successful Retirement'.

Ways in which you can help:

• Contribute to our 'Call for Ideas'
• Be part of the Festival of Learning events being help nationally (see http://learningrevolution.direct.gov.uk for more information
• Promote the benefits of Pre-Retirement Education to your members, clients and within the community
• Make Pre-Retirement courses available in your community and/or organisation
