Chris Pond, FSA , to speak at 2008 Annual Lecture

Life Academy is delighted to announce that Chris Pond, Financial Capability Director, Financial Services Authority is the guest speaker at its Annual Lecture. Chris will be speaking about the role of Financial Capability in light of the current economic circumstances.

Chris Pond will be explaining that the FSA leads the National Strategy for Financial Capability and how it has an important role to play in the public understanding of financial services, especially in these tougher times. He will also talk about how the FSA is committed to the improvement of levels of consumer capability in the UK and recognises that changing financial attitudes and behaviour requires the provision of financial capability support in the short, medium and longer term.

Everybody wins with improved capability – consumers, industry and government. Whilst we might not be able to prevent economic downturns, it is certainly worthwhile encouraging people to equip themselves against future and current financial uncertainties.

Time: 6:00 pm for 6.30 pm. Venue: One Great George Street, London, SW1P 3AA
