Module 10 - The Practice of Facilitation for Master Practitioners
Aims and Learning Outcomes The aim of this module is to provide an advanced practitioners understanding of facilitation, delivery of specific topics, and reflection. Module 5 - The Practice of Facilitation must be successfully completed prior to taking this module. By the end of the module students will be able to:
- recognise the most effective facilitation skills for working interactively
- design and deliver specific topic areas using experiential methods
- apply critical self-reflection to the barriers to effective delivery
- revise design, process, reflection and evaluation
Programme of Study / Course Content The module will be a summative process for the practitioners programme - linking together the underpinning knowledge of theory, adult learning, facilitation, evaluation, group process, and related practice. The module will be delivered in six days, including two half-day ‘master classes’, based around the effective experiential facilitation of specific themes or processes. Themes will include:
- What is Master Level Facilitation?
- How do I reflect and assess my skills and qualities?
- What is Master Level Facilitation when working with myself?
- What is Master Level Facilitation when working with a group?
- Managing group learning - visioning the learning needs and experience, and supporting the learning holistically.
